                    Today is out first day back at school from a long time in lock down and i am

Soul Friends Mass Aston

 Today for Saint Pius X we had a very special mass. This Mass is special because we celebrated three important occasions for our school. They are, Saint St Patrick's Day, Soul friends and Ash wednesday. did you know that Patrick didn't make his way to Ireland until Irish pirates kidnapped him at age 16. From there, he started his journey to converting the Irish to Christianity and becoming an Irish patron Saint. did you know that St patrick lived in three different places britannia , ireland and auxerre, also he was born on 386 AD & died on March 17, 461. on the 1st of march it is ash wednesday , Ash wednesday  is when Father puts ashes on your forehead, why he puts ashes on your forehead he puts it on because Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day of prayer and fasting Ash Wednesday derives its name from the placing of repentance ashes on the foreheads of participants to either the words Repent, and believe in the Gospel or the dictum Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return. and last of all Soul friend, soul friends came the Holy Faith sisters from Ireland. In the early Irish church people would chose wise people to have as there soul buddy. 

  

RESPONSIBLY MATS 24/02/2021

 

Today In  religious Education (RE) we made responsibility mats I found this interesting i enjoyed Colouring I learnt being responsible is a good thing to do.

2020 keep it simple for lent Action plan

Monday 9th march

1.

For lent I'm giving up junk food because I think it's sad how many animals that get killed for us to eat. 

2.

I'm going to give up lying because lying can get you into some big trouble.

I hope the Unfortunate and poor  people can stay strong and healthy  and live a happy life.

Give:

For lent I'm giving my brothers Annoying me every day . 

Live: 

For lent i'm going to have an argument free day with my brothers.

 Do:

For lent I'm going to be extra kind to my friends and family.

Find:

 I researched Syria has the most refugees in the world. It has  6.7 million refugees.
